EYFS Teaching Assistant

We're seeking enthusiastic individuals with experience in nurseries to join our team as Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for nurturing individuals who are ready to transition into a primary school setting and make a positive impact on the lives of young learners.

Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Primary School

Start Date: September 2024

Duration: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the EYFS team in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 3 to 5 years old.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of resources to enhance learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to children, fostering positive relationships and a sense of belonging within the classroom.
  • Promote independence and self-confidence in young learners through structured play and learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all children.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
  • A passion for early years education and a commitment to supporting children's holistic development.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage positively with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the routines and practices of a primary school environment.
  • A positive and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and well-being.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
