Experienced Teaching Assistant

ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED TEACHING ASSISTANT, WHO IS LOOKING FOR A NEW OPPORTUNITY IN SOUTH-EAST LONDON?

I am working with a primary school who are open to 'adopting' a new Teaching Assistant to join their team. 

This opportunity will be based in a lovely primary school in the Greenwich borough. 

About the School;

- A Primary School with a Nursery attached
- 2 form entry
- OFSTED rating 'Good' 
- School Values; Collaboration, Emotional Intelligence, Determination, Integrity and Innovation.

The role will be most suitable for an experienced Teaching Assistant who does not mind getting involved with various duties/activities throughout the school.

These duties may include;

- Working across key stages 1 and 2, so the suitable candidate should ideally have experience working with various year groups.
- Working on a 1:1 basis with children who have various types of special educational needs, if required.
- Working with small groups of children, providing intervention and extra learning support. 
- Assisting on school outings and trips if needed. 
- Helping out with lunchtime and break times, if requested.

The successful candidate should ideally:-

- Ideally have a minimum of Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Have some experience working with SEN pupils.
- Must have experience working within an educational setting.
- Be confident in providing 1:1 support.
- Be able to track progress and report to head teacher, if need be.
- Be a positive role model for the young person, presenting yourself in a highly professional manner.
- Work with young people on intervention strategies to ensure students continue the tradition of exceeding their expected levels of progress.
