Experienced Order Pickers

CSP are currently recruiting Experienced Order Pickers on behalf of our client, a well-known & established leader in the logistics & distribution sectors.

We are looking for committed candidates with a desire to find a long-term career path who can develop and grow within the company by taking part in their training and upskill programmes. This position is a temporary to permanent role, where you will begin as an order picker in one chamber such as ambient or chill but then receive training on all other departments as well as LLOP & FLT Reach trucks to become a multi-skilled operative.

Initially, your role will include:

• Picking orders by hand in a temperature controlled environment following a headset whilst driving a LLOP
• Labelling items
• Palletising and stacking your order to prevent damaged stock onto pallets or into cages
• Relocating stock
• Wrapping finished orders by hand or using the wrap machine
• Following pick targets and set KPI’s

The ideal candidate will:

• Be committed to the role long-term
• Work well in a team
• Have a desire to learn and progress within the company
• Have experience in a similar environment - LLOP and headset experience is highly desirable
• Have a reasonable level of written & spoken English

Please note that this role is working in a cold environment. This role does include heavy lifting (up to 25KG) and you will be required to work on your feet, walking around the warehouse for the entire shift so a reasonable level of fitness is necessary. You will also need to be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to starting with us on site.

Days:

2pm-10pm - Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday

6am-2pm/2pm-10pm rotating - working any 5 from 7 on a rota.

12pm-8pm - working any 5 from a rota Sunday - Friday (Saturday is always a day off)

Nights:

10pm-6am Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday

8pm-4am Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday

8pm-6am - Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday (4 x 10 hours shifts)

Pay rates:

Days: £13.29-£15.36

Overtime: £18.61-£20.67

On top of standard hourly rates: we also offer weekend incentives & pick bonuses.
