At AX, we are looking for an Executive Driver to ensure the effective delivery and collection of vehicles to customers.

AX is an accident assistance and after care service provider who deliver replacement vehicles to customers who have been involved in non-fault accidents.

Role Purpose:
To deliver and collect vehicles in line with business and customer needs ensuring that you provide non-negotiable customer service and exceed customer expectations.

As one of our Executive Drivers, your responsibilities will include:

  1. To complete a series of checks on the vehicle condition, as set out on inspection sheet.
  2. Ensuring that there is no damage, and that the mileage status is acceptable versus the service requirement.
  3. To ensure that the basic service checks are carried out on the vehicles, including oil and fluid levels, window screen checks and the tread of the tyres are to the required depth and pressure.
  4. To drive vehicles safely, following the high way code, considering road and weather conditions and being courteous to other drivers
  5. To appear well groomed, representing the company in a professional manner
  6. To deliver assigned vehicle on schedule to an agreed location
  7. To return collected vehicles to base completing the necessary paperwork
  8. To provide customer service to the client, demonstrating vehicle features and controls, explaining and completing the necessary administration
  9. To check and collect a road worthy vehicle from the client, completing the necessary paperwork
  10. To travel independently between jobs using taxis and trains, returning to base as instructed if no suitable local collection
  11. To advise Line Manager in the first instance of any issues in relation to vehicle conditions.
  12. To identify concerns re. roadworthiness of vehicles and to report any issues to non- revenue to ensure effective fleet utilisation and claims management.
  13. To hand in any lost property found in the vehicles.

Our Executive Drivers will bring the following skills and experiences to our team:

• Ideally demonstrable experience in a similar driving role
• Hold a current Valid Driving Licence
• Ideally experience of driving different makes and models of vehicles including prestige
• General knowledge of vehicle makes models and controls
• Basic knowledge of car maintenance
• Observant and detail conscious, understands the need to keep all vehicles in prestige condition.
• Confident, safe, and responsible driver
• Good communication skills, able to give instructions and explain basic vehicle controls and appropriate paperwork.
