On offer for the Events Manager is the opportunity to join a dynamic and rewarding company that manages leisure and cultural facilities in Bournemouth, offering a range of services including sports facilities, entertainment venues, and event management. They provide opportunities for community engagement through various programs, events, and activities aimed at promoting health, well-being, and cultural enrichment in the local area.
As the go-to Events Manager, you will be overseeing operations across two buildings with six venues, including an arena the role involves collaborating with clients, producers, and artistic teams to plan and execute technical aspects of productions and events. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of staff and guests, leading and training a technical team, researching new technologies, and problem-solving to ensure seamless productions.
This role is suited for an experienced and passionate Events Manager who has managed live concerts and conferences. Someone thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys the challenges of managing multiple venues and live events, with a strong background in theatre or conference environments.
The Role:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of live events.
- Collaborate with clients, producers, and artistic teams to plan and execute technical aspects of productions and events.
- Lead, motivate, and train a team of technical staff.
The Person:
- Background in managing concerts, conferences or similar.
- Strong understanding of event production and operations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
