Excellent opportunity for a Junior Estimator or Project Manager to join a leading refurbishment and restoration company working on interesting projects within the Commercial Hospitality sector. Restoration projects include Hotels, restaurants, bar, nightclubs, accommodation and holiday parks. The successful estimator will be tasked with attending pre-approved and scheduled appointments to visit customer premises to survey, measure, quantify and price up restoration work projects.

Working from home, you will be visiting arranged appointments to price up restoration work such as commercial furniture & upholstery restoration, surface repair, bathroom restoration, flooring & carpet restoration and industrial cleaning projects, amongst others.

The appointed Estimator / Project Manager will receive full training, but we are ideally looking for someone with the right transferrable skills, who is confident and able to communicate at all levels, be willing to travel within their region, take accurate measurements and descriptions of work that needs to be carried out. A Project Manager, Estimator or qualified professional within upholstery, commercial seating, building works, surface repair, carpentry or any other restoration works, with the ability to quantify and price up work projects, will have a distinct advantage.

The role of Estimator / Project Manager will involve:

• To attend site visits and to take down and record all relevant information to estimate costs, materials and labour.
• To steer design teams towards affordable solutions
• To engage with our supply chain to ensure costs are robust and solutions are buildable.
• To provide regular cost updates to the client’s surveying team and finalize negotiations prior to entering into a contract.
• Travel within your region to attend company premises or work away on rare occasions (Fully expensed)

Estimator / Project Manager Criteria:

• Have experience with various construction methods such as but not limited to upholstery, building works, surface repair, carpentry or similar.
• Experience in controlling costs, timing and quality in line with targets.
• Experience in reading and accurately interpreting drawings and technical specifications and measurements.
• Good standard of mathematical ability
