We have an exciting opportunity for a ERP Solution Architect to join our IT Team based in Dunstable. This position will provide functional and technical designs, along with advice and guidance to the business and IT Projects within Whitbread.

By 2020, our goal is to achieve global system sales of around £2.5bn for Costa, and to increase the number of Premier Inn UK rooms to an incredible 85,000. Within this role you will:

  • Provide input into formation of IT and brand Strategies and technical innovations
  • Work with the wider Architecture team across multi domain projects and strategies
  • Support and manage third party suppliers throughout the project lifecycle of requirements gathering, design, dev & test and deployment
  • Demonstrate a "guest obsessed" mind-set when evaluating solution options
  • Work with Whitbread's IT partners to define solutions and provide central governance across projects within the IS estate
  • Contribute to and maintain architectural documentation repository, ensure oversight of supplier documentation where required
  • Support wider IT functions with technical knowledge and experience where required
  • Keep Whitbread's Corporate Responsibility, Good Together and other initiatives at the forefront of all decisions and interactions

What we are looking for:

  • Solid Architecture experience across multiple Architecture domains utilising ERP platforms such as Finance, HR and Supply Chain
  • Experience and good working knowledge of ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, Oracle Fusion/Cloud Financials/e-Business Suite or SAP
  • Good knowledge of Integration using EDI and Web APIs (SOAP, REST, XML and JSON) utilising tools such as Oracle SOA Suite, Ab Initio and MuleSoft Anypoint
  • Working knowledge of Data Modelling, utilising tools such as Toad, ER/Studio, erwin, Orbus iServer or Sparx EA
  • Good Understanding of Reporting and BI with tools such as Oracle OBIEE, MS Power BI and Tableau
  • Working knowledge of database solutions such as Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, My SQL or NoSQL
  • Demonstrable experience with Cloud services and platforms
  • Proven experience of working with IT suppliers in an outsourced environment
  • The ability to work across multiple projects in parallel and the ability to contribute to wider group strategies
  • Demonstrable ability to engage with vendors and review technical proposals from a commercial angle to ensure technical solutions meet Whitbread's requirements
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture framework
