Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a talented specialist English teacher to join a secondary academy in east Oldham.

This is a full-time temporary supply teaching role from April 2024 to July 2024 to cover a maternity leave.

The Role

Teacher of English Language and Literature to GCSE

Five days a week 8.15am to 3pm

Calm confident behaviour management skills where students can share beliefs in a safe supportive environment.

A flexible teacher able to adapt lessons to a broad range of abilities, beliefs and cultures.

An enthusiastic English specialist who encourages an enjoyment in reading for pleasure.

The academy are interested in hearing from early career teachers, experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with experience of teaching AQA GCSE English to students aged 11 to 16.

To join us and be successful in this English Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent Further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work full time in the UK with no restrictions
