We are seeking an exceptional English Teacher who is dedicated to the success of their students. Day to Day of the Role of an English Lecturer:
  • Develop and deliver dynamic English learning programmes that cater to the needs of learners, employing a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Plan and deliver English lessons to groups of students with varying abilities, ensuring high engagement and achievement.
  • Support the promotion of courses, contributing to the recruitment and enrolment of students.
  • Conduct effective assessment of students to tailor learning to individual needs.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment, promoting the fundamental British values in education.
  • Utilise innovative teaching tools to create captivating and effective learning opportunities.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, guiding them towards achieving their goals.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on students’ work to facilitate improvement.
  • Take responsibility for the progress and achievement of all students in your classes.
  • Embed the development of maths and English skills within your teaching practice.
  • Manage courses or programmes, ensuring high standards of behaviour and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the English Lecturer:
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in successfully delivering Functional Skills English and GCSE English.
  • Passionate about teaching and learning with the ability to inspire students.
  • Organised and able to meet challenging targets and manage time effectively.
  • Degree level education in a relevant subject or a relevant occupational qualification.
  • Relevant teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one.
  • A*-C grades in maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent.
