I am recruiting for an Employment Advisor to join a successful team in Colchester:
An Employment Adviser is responsible for the attraction, registration and progression of members to achieve placements. An Employment Adviser will use a variety of techniques including effective diagnosis, individual and group coaching, maximising on any Member funding available to achieve sustainable employment

Duties will be to:
 Build and maintains relationships with the Job Centre Plus and other relevant Partners through telephone contact, visits and newsletters as appropriate to ensure enlisting of Members to the programme.
 Support outreach activity either directly or by partnering with Outreach Advisers as the programme and district allows or requires it.
 Sign Members up to the programme.
 Provide a good customer service to Members including meeting and greeting Members in a professional way.

 Explain the detail of the programme including ensuring the Member understands their rights and responsibilities, whilst registering the Member in accordance to contractual obligations and eligibility criteria.
 Identifie and utilises various approaches where appropriate such as Better Off Calculations (BOC), visionary goal setting, and applicable financial incentives to sell the benefits of the programme and to adequately diagnose first level barriers.
 Identify, clarifies and manages the Member expectations of the process including data protection, confidentiality and ground rules of the programme and the relationship in order to achieve buy-in to the programme.

 Liaise with relevant partners to inform them of Member registration, to assist with first level and/or deeper level barriers as appropriate.
 Identify appropriate short and long term solutions' and interventions as required by the Member's needs, programme constraints and opportunities
 Mentor the Member through new employment, including providing support with general work issues finances and tax credits.
 Provide regular and appropriate calls to Members and employers if necessary to ensure retention of the Member in work.
 Diagnose and overcomes Members new and deeper level barriers, troubleshooting any employer issues that may affect sustainable employment.
 Maintain Member files and data (paper and database) to 100% accuracy at the first, and every subsequent instance of completion.
 To take appropriate steps to be agreed in Member action plans and reviews constantly.
 Follow prescribed filing and data accuracy requirements to ensure the confidentiality of Member information and a robust audit trail for internal and external review.
