Embroidery Operative

My client a well established manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Blackburn is seeking an experienced production worker to join their embroidery department. As an embroidery operative, you will play a crucial role in the company's production team assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the entire manufacturing process. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30 - 5pm, Friday 8.00 - 4.30pm with a 30 minutes lunch break.

Duties:

- Assist with receiving and checking goods

- Prepare orders for shipment

- The right candidate would receive embroidery training to be able to finish off goods if failing on spot checks - therefore using sewing machines to perform basic sewing tasks

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse

- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment

Experience:

- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred

- Basic sewing skills are advantageous

- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management is a plus

- Ability to use computers

Skills:

- Sewing: Proficient in basic sewing tasks and operating sewing machines

- Warehouse: Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Monday to Friday
