Embedded Software Engineer

Role: Embedded software engineer

Location: France (Mougins) - Remote/Hybrid Duration : 12 Months Start Date : ASAP

A client based in France is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer. This will be for an initial 12 month contract.

The client is open with candidates who are only looking for remote or hybrid projects.

The candidate will be a member of the R&D team, who will join the group responsible for the development of space systems for embedded timer, frequency, navigation and communication applications.

The candidate will be responsible for software design, development and test of space equipment (Software architect).

• Definition and specification of microcontroller software architecture
• Development of low-level software (firmware, driver, bootloader)
• Development of high-level software (sequencer, algorithms, OS)
• Debug, simulation, test and validation of the software
• Integration of external library
• Definition of test cases
• Technical documentation

Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development for microcontroller
• Experience in communication protocol development CAN/UART (or similar)
• Experience in real time OS
• Expected design experience in the SPACE industry sector
• C/C++, Assembly
• Knowledge of ECSS space norms (or similar)
• Practice V-cycle development
• MS Office
