Embedded Linux Engineer - £70k - £80k - semi remote - Bournemouth

Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with a world leading Electronics manufacturer, now looking to open a brand new R&D centre in Bournemouth. Due to extensive success in their industry, they are now seeking an Embedded Linux Engineer to help deliver key projects for clients across a range of applications. This is a brand new team to work on a combination of existing systems and new products they want to manufacture.

The company is hiring due to cornering their market, with big brands using their products globally. They are now seeking an Embedded Linux Engineer to help develop innovative features on their existing products. As well as lead the way in the development a whole new system the company is looking to develop from scratch.

This is a Embedded Linux Engineer job focusing primarily on Linux Kernel Drivers. Experience using Yocto or Buildroot is highly desirable. The company are looking to create a design centre in the UK, as such the role will be remote initially with the expectation for 2-3 days onsite further down the line.

Key Skills:

• Degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics or similar
• 7+ commercial Embedded software experience
• Good commercial Embedded Linux experience working on Kernel Drivers
• Experience working on Build Root or Yocto is highly desirable but not essential
• Previous experience
