Electromechanical Engineering Technician - Robotics Assembly - London - £30-40K

We are currently working with an exciting company who is backed the most successful startup program in the world. They have developed amazing technology that automates the growth of human stem cells which can be used in the research and development cures for Parkinsons, Alzheimer’s, cancer and more.

They have huge potential to impact cure development across the board and have assembled a world-class team to take on this challenge. As a result of continued growth and a further £18M in funding we are looking for an Electromechanical Engineering Technician to join their assembly team. Working from drawings you will build robots/machine which will unleash scientists and enable them to accelerate their research and help get cures to patients sooner..

We are looking for an Electromechanical Engineering Technician who'd be interested in an opportunity to develop their career by joining a company that is producing some of the most amazing Tech on the market; Tech that will have a huge impact towards medical advancements in the future.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working alongside the engineering team to assemble new prototypes, our machines & our fluidic consumables.
  • Responding & diagnosing equipment breakdowns or assembly problems, resolving issues and actioning repairs.
  • Working closely with engineering teams to find ways to improve processes and increase machine reliability whilst maintaining performance.
  • Helping shape the culture of the assembly engineering team, coming up with ideas and processes so everyone keeps continually improving.

  • You're a fast learner and a great communicator who can support the engineering needs of the team.
  • You' may come from a variety of technical backgrounds including BioTech, Medical Equipment, Robotics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Automation, Machines etc.
  • You take great pride in a high level of craftsmanship in the work you do.
  • You’ve set up new processes & have fabrication experience.
  • You have experience of soldering & preparation of cable harnessing to a high level of quality.
  • Solid IT skills.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary between £30-40K.

  • Because of the device assembly aspect of this role, they are unable to support remote-first working and potential colleagues must be happy to work from our lab however they do offer a modern , flexible approach outside of core hours of 10.30am-4,30pm.
