You will undertake electrical installation, repairs and maintenance work to provide a high quality right first time service. Communication is key to this role as you will be liaising with team members daily.
Productivity is key as works will be required to be completed to a strict timescale.
You will receive plan and complete jobs and inform the team leader of any associated access issues.
Where required there will be minor after-trade work e.g. brickwork, plastering, tiling and joinery.
Finally ensure all premises are left secure, safe and in a weather tight condition.
Identify and undertake electrical work as directed
Ensure levels of productivity and work within the required timescales/categories or to targets
Receive, plan and complete job orders on time and to quality
Notify team leader of any associated access issues
Conduct work in accordance with the required specification current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards for such work, minimising damage to the fabric of the property
Undertake work on electrical installations in accordance with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations currently 17th Edition and any subsequent revisions
Undertake fault-finding and diagnostic work as required to repair and maintain electrical installations
Carry out inspection and testing on existing installations, as work progresses and on completed work recording results and completing appropriate test certification
Carry out minor after-trade work e.g. brickwork, plastering
Ensure, where appropriate that vehicle stocks are accordingly maintained and accounted for
Safety, Health and Environment
Take a pro-active approach and reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their activities at work, including occupants, visitors and members of the public
Co-operate with their line manager or any other person so far as is necessary to enable them to comply with any duty or requirement imposed on them by any statutory provision or by any site or company/ division`s rules
Report on any hazards or unsafe practices to their team leader
Undertake visual inspection of all tools, equipment and where appropriate vehicles ensuring they work correctly, reporting any defects. Additionally, comply with formal periodic testing checks for all equipment
Act in a professional manner at all times
Ensure protective clothing and Health and Safety equipment provided is used correctly and when required, in accordance with risk assessments
Ensure pre-start risk assessments are undertaken
Co-operate with health surveillance programmes
Ensure that all safety procedures are followed for all working at height activities
Follow agreed procedures when working in occupied properties to ensure resident safety and security
Ensure you comply with company policy, follow the highway code and exercise due care and attention when driving a company vehicle
Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues/clients/customers and work as part of a team.
Deal courteously and efficiently with clients, customers and the general public to maintain and enhance the reputation of the organisation.
Continually demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Customer Care.
Ensure that there is clear communication with customers in respect of work to be undertaken and following completion of the job.

Ability to read Construction Drawings
Willingness to be flexible with working hours
