Electrical Control Engineer

Location: Sittingbourne

We are seeking an Electrical Control Engineer to join our team, working on bespoke equipment and process control panels. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with experience in control systems, wiring, and fault finding, both in-house and on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with single and three-phase equipment.
  • Utilise relays and relay logic in control systems.
  • Handle digital and analogue signals for instrumentation.
  • Integrate analogue and digital signalling with PLCs (small and mainframe).
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics for power and control panel circuits.
  • Wire bespoke manufactured equipment.
  • Design, build, and modify small process control panels.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot onsite equipment faults.
  • Collaborate with design and mechanical engineers on projects.
  • Work on-site with engineers and other contractors during installations.
  • Liaise with external contractors and customer technicians to meet project goals.
  • Travel to customer sites, with occasional overnight stays when required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong background in electrical control engineering.
  • Experience in panel wiring and fault-finding.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Willingness to travel for installations and support.
