Cedar are supporting a Private Sector organisation based in North Manchester who are looking for an Electrical Engineer. This is a permanent job opportunity offering a salary up to £50,000 per annum with a range of additional benefits on offer.

The successful candidate will report in to the Engineering Director and will be responsible for project managing all aspects of machine electrical design for large/complex control systems used by the organisation. You will be required to liaise with various stakeholder and suppliers, use electrical CAD packages to design and draw electrical control circuits - ensuring you adhere to relevant British and EU regulations and develop electrical drawings and contribute to ideas/innovations for continuous improvement.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • HNC / HND and/or BEng. Electrical Engineering qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in an engineering or design environment
  • Experience designing and constructing electrical circuits and control panels - specific experience with Detail design work to EN60204, Functional Safety ISO13849, Control panel component selection and/or Machine cabling selection is advantageous
  • Experience withPneumatic systems, Hydraulic systems and/or Rotating machinery and variable frequency drives is required
  • Experience using control panel design Electrical CAD package is required
  • Knowledge of British and European EN Regulations is required
