The role will be responsible for supporting the sites health and safety, providing advice to the management and all colleagues. Applicants should be willing to travel occasionally to their other sites. It is not expected that the travel will be frequent. It is being offered on a 12 Month FTC, although there is potential for the role to become more permanent.

Client Details

Our client operate within the FMCG industry and are based in Burton Upon Trent. They are expanding and investing in their UK sites.

Description

  • Providing EHS advice to the site management team and staff.
  • Carrying out and reviewing risk assessments for routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Assisting Plant Managers with updating and reviewing the EHS procedures for each site including the Emergency procedures file.
  • Assisting with incident investigation and reporting, as required.
  • Assisting Plant and Production Managers with compliance requirements.
  • Ensuring that each site understands and maintains the necessary level of compliance documentation.
  • Attending quarterly EHS meetings.
  • Visiting the other UK sites to provide support as required.
  • Ensuring audit and inspection issues are undertaken and then entered onto the relevant online platform.
  • Provide back up, and work in tandem with other EHS colleagues.
  • Assisting Plant Managers with maintaining environmental site records including the waste matrix, investigating environmental incidents, tracking energy use etc.
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors to facilitate on-site audits.
  • Assisting Plant Managers with producing appropriate EHS documentation.
  • Liaising with external assessors to facilitate assessments on fire, noise, dust, legionella.
  • Any other duties reasonably required by the EHSQ Manager.

Profile

  • Qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate Level or equivalent.
  • Have previously worked in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build good working relationships.
  • Willing to work on an initial 12 Month FTC basis.
  • Prepared to travel to other sites as required.
  • Hold valid UK Driving License.
