Economics Programme Lead

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Economics Programme Lead to play a pivotal role in developing and implementing economic strategies and initiatives aimed at accelerating the adoption of clean energy technologies and practices. This individual will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to drive economic analysis, policy development, and market research within the clean energy sector.

In this role you will own and shape the economics function, providing insight and analysis into factors that impact investment into the energy system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the newly developed economics function; conducting research, detailed analysis and economic modelling for large international infrastructure projects
  • Leading working groups, providing expert advice representing the organisation externally
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the energy and finance industry
  • Drafting industry papers and briefing reports that encourage dialogue surrounding net zero
  • Keeping updated with news, policy development and changes within the energy markets

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in an economic analysis position, preferably related to energy generation or other large infrastructure
  • Excellent data-driven research skills
  • Capability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Awareness of and interest in the political environment

Based at the head office, offering a flexible hybrid work scheme of 2 days a week in the office. Occasional international travel will be a requirement in the role.
