Design Technology Technician

Location: Enfield, North London

Rate: £14.50 to £15.50 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Type: Full Time, Long Term. Immediate start until July, but possibly longer

Responsibilities:

As a Design Technology Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting teachers in the preparation of materials and equipment for Design Technology lessons.
  • Be highly proficient with resistant materials(woodwork and metalwork).
  • Maintaining and organising the Design Technology workshops, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Supporting students with practical activities and projects.
  • Conducting routine maintenance and repairs of equipment.
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Design Technology Technician or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Design Technology tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Good understanding of resistant materials (woodwork and metalwork)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • The school requires someone very reliable, adaptable and who is a great communicator.

Hours and Pay:

  • Full-time position.
  • 8am - 4pm
  • Hourly rate: £14.50 to £15.50 per hour (Depending on Experience)
