Secondary Drama and Music Teacher position, immediate start, long-term assignment, Gloucestershire
Your new school
Hays Education is currently working on behalf of an Academy based in Gloucestershire that is recognised by OFSTED for outstanding leadership. This academy takes children from ages 11 to 16, as well as 6th form pupils aged 16 to 19. Its progress academically from KS2 to GCSE and high levels of achievement at A Level have created a stimulating environment for staff to creatively deliver the challenging and imaginative courses to every pupil. This academy is currently seeking an outstanding Drama and Music Teacher to join their staff immediately for a long term assignment where you will work towards the academic progress of the students you teach.
Your new role
In your new Drama and Music teaching job, you will be required to teach both Drama and Music from KS3 to KS5, yet specialists in either subject will be considered. You will be required to deliver interesting and engaging lessons with confidence and enthusiasm. You will create lessons that encourage pupil enjoyment, interaction and debate. You will aim for all of your pupils to achieve their full potential through your own enthusiasm and expertise of the subject.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have completed all relevant studies and have QTS/NQT. You will be an experienced Drama or Music teacher with the enthusiasm to teach challenging courses in a creative and imaginative manner. A real understanding of the subject area and passionate commitment to students' academic progress and personal growth are desired. You will also need strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with all of the students you teach. You must have experience that can be referenced within the past 5 years teaching Drama or Music across KS3 to KS5.
