Job Title: Drama Teacher

Location: Sheffield, United Kingdom

We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our client school in Sheffield. As a Drama Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative and artistic development of our students while fostering a love for drama and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive drama lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to express themselves creatively and develop their confidence.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall drama curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Organise and oversee drama productions, performances, and showcases to showcase students' talents and achievements.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative and supportive community within the school.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching drama at the primary or secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of drama theory, techniques, and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Passion for drama education and a genuine interest in the well-being and development of students.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
