Own a dog and want to make some extra money while you walk yours? Or maybe , you miss being a dog owner but can't have the commitment of owning a dog?

Want some casual work but have other commitments and need a job to fit around them? Such as childcare ?

Want a break from your profession to explore other options ? You might be retired and want a few hours a week, to fit around enjoying retirement? You could start by walking dogs on your lunch break whilst you work from home ?

Then get in touch with Petmatix, a pet services company which aims to provide a high-quality, personal service to our clients.

There is also no obligation to take on pets that don’t work out for you. We will always find you the pets that do work for you. Those who show a good attitude to work can expect regular clients and more work. You can put a 'cap’ on how many hours you would like to work and how much traveling you want to do.

We can offer you:

  • Mornings only.

  • Afternoons only.

  • School hours only.
  • Full days.

  • Five days a week.

  • Any four days a week of your choice (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are our busiest days).

  • Term time only or at least reduce your hours during school holidays if desired.

  • A dog first aid course.

  • Additional , weekend work, at a rate of time and a half, if desired.

  • Bank holidays at a rate of double time if desired.

  • Most of our team work part-time, but there is potential for an arrangement closer to full time.

Who we are

We are an eco-friendly pet company. We keep our driving distances down by keeping our pets as local as possible to our dog walkers. We have had some very successful candidates who have volunteered with Cinnamon Trust. Our team consists of ex policemen, ex nurses, freelance journalists, musicians and ex teachers. We also care for our smaller animals such as rodents and cats.

Essential :

  • Experience, either with your own dog or someone else's.
  • Understand that this is a self employed role.
  • Driving license and access to a car.
  • Being based around SW19/SW18 area
  • Have a DBS or are willing to get one.
  • Being prepared to walk in all weathers, we only close during severe weather warnings.

Desireable :

  • Confidence with walking two or more dogs at once (full training is given if necessary and you will only walk more than one dog when you are confident).

  • Have some customer service experience .

  • Can think on your feet , however you will belong to a whatsapp group with a very experienced team who will help you .

  • Are sociable, we frequently meet up.
  • Are open to having a dog either in your home, or stay at the client's home with the dog
