The prestigious organisation in Cambridge is looking for a Divisional Finance Manager to join their Research & Development team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an interesting role in an organisation at the forefront of medical science.
Your new role
Reporting to a Head of Finance the Divisional Finance Manager is responsible for all aspects of financial management of a portfolio of projects, producing a range of reports, projections and analyses. You will be the main point of contact for budget holders and provide support to their business plans. You will be expected to manage junior staff, and be responsible for their development.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified Accountant or qualified by experience with extensive experience in budgeting and forecasting and working with Service managers to deliver specialist advice. You must also be experienced in producing investment and business cases to support new opportunities. Ideally you will have experience in supporting projects and or contracts.
Strong excel skills are a must to produce financial models using Pivots and look-ups.
You must have experience in staff management and be able to take the lead on the development and motivation of junior staff as well as their performance.
What you'll get in return
This is a 12 month fixed term assignment, however the will likely be opportunities for a permanent position. The salary will depend on experience of the successful candidate.
