They operate the country's largest cement plant, two cement import terminals, around 60 quarries, 26 asphalt plants, 200 ready-mixed concrete & mortar plants and three concrete block plants, employing around 2,300 people nationwide.
Our client is currently recruiting for two Distribution Co-Ordinators for our 1st Mix, Mini Mix operation based in Corby, Northamptonshire.
As a member of the Distribution team you will be working within a multi-product environment and be responsible for taking telephone orders, liaising with customers and organising deliveries for concrete. You will need to have the ability to think on your feet in a fast-moving environment. You will also need good computer skills, polite telephone manner, attention to detail and the ability to remain positive when working in a high-pressure environment.
Applicants for this position should have good educational qualifications, with a positive attitude towards health & safety and ideally have experience working in a building material supplier or transport environment. You will have excellent organisational skills, exceptional customer service skills and a strong work ethic. You should have the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
