A leading independent prep school in Hertfordshire are recruiting a Director of Music for September 2024. This is a full time and permanent role.
There is a happy and enjoyable atmosphere at this independent prep school. Pupils are engaged, have fun and achieve their potential within a safe and friendly environment which is conducive to learning. SMT are keen for every pupil to discover new interests and develop current pursuits, whilst providing academic rigour and giving them freedom to build self-confidence, resilient and their own personalities.
The Head is seeking a dynamic and inspirational individual to join the school's Music department and deliver a curriculum that is exciting and innovative. The successful candidate will ensure that the provision of Music across the school is outstanding and everyone is engaged positively in learning. You will be an experienced professional, with experience of directing large musical ensembles and concerts. You will also have the ability to plan a diverse and exciting annual music programme to positively enhance the general musical direction of the school. You will be responsible for teaching Music from Reception to Year 8 as well as the management of the school's skilled peripatetic staff.
