Backed by a leading PE investor, Akari Care have ambitious plans for growth and following an internal promotion to CEO, there is now an opportunity to make this key appointment as the business embarks on an exciting phase of its journey.
With investment and growth comes an increased need and desire for financial control and the commercial analysis of performance and strategy. This will be championed by the new Director of Finance who will lead a team and report to the CEO with important lines of reporting and communication to the PE investor. This role is a career defining opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a PE backed business, work with and learn from an experienced and accomplished Senior Management Team.
The Director of Finance will have the autonomy to further develop and define the already strong finance function. The controls environment is robust and effective but will need to continue evolving as the business develops. Beyond the day to day accounting, this role will also take the financial lead with new acquisitions and will work proactively to develop internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Working closely with the Senior Management Team you will be prepared to provide constructive challenge to established commercial thought whilst also ensuring a strict adherence to regulatory requirements. The Director of Finance will champion finance within the business and must mirror the values, enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication of the Senior Management Team.
The successful candidate will be attracted by the opportunity of working in a vibrant, fast moving, PE backed business. You’ll have the confidence to interact fluently with the Senior Management Team and will understand the importance of how and when information is communicated across a wide variety of stakeholders. Leading by example and helping to define and deliver the financial objectives ahead of any future transaction will be a key driver. You must be prepared to “get involved”.
You will, of course, be a qualified accountant and will have a well-rounded skillset underpinned by strong technical accounting. Extensive M&A or PE experience is not essential, but we are looking to attract high calibre candidates who can demonstrate a career trajectory to mirror the ambitions of Akari Care. You will have exceptional communication skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence. Your peers will already describe you as high performing, focused, proactive and ambitious. Your attention to detail and ability to focus on quality and value must underpin everything you do.
