Your new job in Hemel Hempstead
We're looking for DevOps Engineers of all levels, people who are passionate about operating high profile online platforms, with stories of their triumphs and scars from their failures. You'll be enthusiastic about modern methods for infrastructure management and platform delivery, with a pragmatic style and great analytical skills that help you identify and solve problems before our customers do. You will have a keen sense of architecture, security, resilience and performance that allows you to spot solutions that work and those that don't. You'll be continually learning and have an eye on the tech coming over the horizon.
In your new job as a DevOps Engineer, your main focus is going to be building and managing Atlassian tools and integrations used such as Jira and confluence. In addition you will also be providing end to end systems administration, Linux platform engineering, system maintenance and support. Furthermore, you will create, build and deploy automation and orchestration tools in various scripting languages (Ruby, Bash, Python and Perl) with a 'right tool', 'right job' attitude.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful DevOps Engineer will have excellent interpersonal skills and be very much a people person. You'll have practical experience working with Git, Jenkins, Ansible and Chef to create a release automation pipeline from development through to live. Furthermore, You will be familiar with a variety of infrastructure technologies and tools including Linux, Cloud Stack, OpenStack, Google Cloud, Virtual firewalls, F5 load balancers, New Relic, Splunk and more.
