We're recruiting for an exciting Development Underwriter role within our clients PI and Technology team that is growing is book of business. This Development Underwriter will be working on market-leading portfolio of PI and Technology risk at a Global Fortune 500 specialty insurer.

What we're looking for in you?

- A track record in successfully winning new business through a proactive approach to your work.

- Experience at building and developing successful relationships with brokers.

- A background in underwriting on at least one of a Technology, Professional Indemnity or Directors and Officers (D&O) classes of business.

- Confidence in negotiating with senior stakeholders, both internal and external.

What you will be doing in the role?

- This position will be work closely with the Head of Financial Lines and Broker Development director to achieve strategic objects for further growth.

- Developing new broker relations and responsible for optimising the performance of the relevant regional broker panel.

- Coaching and mentoring of junior members of the team and furthering their technical knowledge.

- Underwriting on complex new business with defined authority limit and delivery a high standard of underwriting.

- Working with senior stakeholders to track and review account and relationship performances in order to identify future areas for further opportunities.
