Development Surveyor - Manchester

Fantastic opportunity to join the development team of a key player in the thriving new build apartment sector in Manchester. The company possesses a strong track record of completed Residential and Student luxury apartment blocks in regenerated areas such as Ancoats, Northern Quarter, Media City and other hotspots in Greater Manchester, plus other key northern powerhouse cities. As a result of a huge injection of funds there are several new roles available to increase the size of the development team, to increase their pipeline significantly. - Also, an opportunity to fast track your own career and learn from the best and contribute towards deliver much needed new homes, residential, student and co-living luxury apartments.

We wish to speak to current Development Surveyors with at least 2-3 years experience working on new build residential apartment projects, and/or refurbishment projects. This could be in Social Housing or Private Sector, PBSA experience is also welcome. Ideally you will also possess a construction or real estate related degree and be interested in continuous professional development, whilst building your reputation through involvement in delivering thousands of new homes.
This is a fast-paced business with a huge war chest, able to take advantage of new commercial opportunities arising across the UK, including London and the Southeast. Another key feature of this role is being able to work on several projects from inception and financial appraisal through to completion. You will benefit from working with highly experienced and motivated colleagues, who will be able to fast track your personal development and career progression. On offer is a competitive salary up to £40,000 DOE, KPI Bonus Scheme, Pension, generous holiday and additional benefits.

• Manage and co-ordinate the successful delivery of an allocated portfolio of residential projects, including new build and conversion developments.

• Instruct the technical / design team to prepare feasibility studies for new projects, working closely with the Land Acquisition team.

• Assemble and prepare financial feasibility appraisals for new projects, including preparing information for presentation and approval by the Board to commence new projects.

• Instruct the professional team to successfully deliver new projects through the RIBA 2, planning submission stage, RIBA 4 Contract award stage and RIBA 6 Contract delivery stage.

• Prepare monthly project updates on all allocated projects, including a KPI dashboard on agreed financial and delivery outputs. (e.g. ensuring projects are delivered on time and to agreed budgets).

• Organise monthly Project update/ progress meetings for all allocated projects.
