Development Lead - 80% management, 20% hands-on

Posted 2 February by Chris Cobbold Limited Easy Apply Ended

Development Lead - 80% management; 20% hands-on.

£50-55k + 5% pension + private health + life insurance + free access to local health club.

Development Lead, who would be attracted to a role that is primarily leadership/management focused but who brings with them a strong hands-on software development background, required by 200-strong Gold Partner organisation to take a lead role in their product development team.

Working from the Bury St Edmunds office, the successful candidate will join a team of four Development Leads with specific line management responsibility for four developers. Whilst my client utilises the Microsoft technology stack (& therefore knowledge of .NET/C#, MVC, SQL Server, etc would add value to your application), they would be very open to someone with a background in an alternative Object Oriented programming language (Java or PHP for example). Importantly, you will be hands-on enough to pick up the Microsoft stack relatively quickly to allow you to provide adequate support to your team, particularly in the code review stage (ensuring they are working to the standards put in place by the architecture team). As a leader, you will bring direction & energy as well as a passion for consistency in delivering high quality products. Previous experience in Agile/Test Driven Development environments would be anticipated.

In return for your commitment, you can look forward to a highly competitive salary & benefits package together with excellent opportunities for personal development & career progression. If you would like to know more, simply drop me an email with your CV attached & we can have an initial conversation in the strictest confidence. I look forward to hearing from you!
