Is working for an incredibly successful national organisation within the learning sector. They are one of the largest and fastest growing multi-site organisations in the UK. Preference will be given to candidates with a valid DBS check, although this is possible to arrange for the right candidate.

You will work as a Deskside IT Technician in a large secondary school in a brand new building. The school is well-known for having the most up to date technology, brand new state of the art facilities. There is the chance to progress within this role, and as well as contract extensions, they may be able to offer a permanent role, if this is something you are interested in.

The successful candidate will need to have a keen interest in working in the education sector and the ability to identify incidents whilst setting key priorities. You will be providing Desktop support and knowledge and experience of MS Office applications support, Windows 10, Printing Support, Password Re-sets etc. is required.

The Desktop Support Technician Duties:

  • Identify incidents whilst setting key priorities
  • Provide desktop support to staff and pupils within a busy academy.
  • Providing technical assistance and support to users on MS Office applications, Windows 10, Printers, Password Resets etc.
  • To provide remote and face to face technical support in line with the academy’s ICT support service definition.
  • To support pupils and staff in the appropriate use of ICT, through advice or training.

The Senior IT Candidate Will Have the Following:

  • Knowledge of XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10
  • Evidence of being a good communicator
  • Enthusiastic approach to customer service
  • Good technical skills
  • Any Audio Visual skills, AV would be ideal
  • Strongly task-driven/multi-tasking
  • Pro-active learner

In addition, experience within the education sector is a huge bonus, as is experience of Microsoft Deployment Services, System Configuration Manager (SCCM), and experience of internet filtering and safeguarding technologies.
