Design Validation Engineer

As a Design Validation Engineer, you will join the team with the primary objective of working closely with customers to work on the design validation (DV) of Electric Drive Units and batteries. You will be expected to take ownership for planning and executing test work primarily on developmental rigs, providing clear and concise data analysis and reporting/recommendations to customer teams.

In your first few weeks in this Design Validation Engineer role, you can expect to:

• Be responsible for the testing campaign from requirements definition to data analysis and reporting for design validation of the unit under test
• Define and plan the testing requirements with the Subject Matter Expert
• Supervision of the testing facility set up, to ensure Rig and Unit Under Test fulfil the requirements
• Provide on-site support at customer or other facilities as appropriate to monitor and ensure good delivery of testing
• Data processing and data analysis that will be used to make engineering decisions.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering area (Mechanical, Automotive, Electronics, etc.)
• Experience in powertrain development, testing and design validation
• Electric Drive Unit and battery experience/knowledge
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to summarise and make clear technical recommendations
• The ability to communicate technical information effectively, both written and verbal.
