Hays are currently recruiting for a Design and Technology teaching job for a large secondary school in Northamptonshire for the start of September. The leadership team create a welcoming and inclusive environment for the pupils to succeed. They have excellent facilities and high standards of teaching throughout the school to ensure that all students can achieve their potential whilst accessing the Design and Technology curriculum.

Your new role:
This job is for the Design & Technology department to be a full-time teacher dealing with a range of lessons and specialising in Product Design/ Graphic Design. You will be responsible for teaching Design and Technology for KS3 and KS4. Previous experience teaching Design and Technology is essential along with strong knowledge of the subject. Planning lessons are key, as well as marking and taking part in parents' evenings.

What you'll need to succeed:
The successful DT teacher will have experience of a QTS and a subject specialism. The candidate applying for this role should have experience of delivering high quality teaching, learning and getting positive outcomes for all students at the start of their school years right through to GCSE. The successful applicant must be a highly motivated professional with a desire to support students of a range of abilities and produce lessons driven by evidence-informed practice.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience as a design technology teacher.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Experience teaching design technology at the secondary school level
Strong subject knowledge and passion inspire students in the fields of design and technology.
