Deputy CTO / Head of Software Development

MRJ is currently working exclusively on behalf of a Technology leader as they embark on the search for a new Deputy CTO, responsible for growing and leading a high performing Software Engineering.

Manchester City Centre based client, currently embarking on a very exciting technology & digital journey, currently seeks an experienced Head of Software Engineering to join and help build a new technology team from the ground up.

Reporting to the CTO, his/her number two will be responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of the company’s x-platform products whilst leading a team of Developers, Designers & QA’s.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a strong Head of Software Development with a track record of success in the delivery / launch of new products from the ground up (Desktop, Mobile).

A commercially focussed Technology Leader, you will be experienced in transforming ageing processes into a fast paced Agile / Devops culture, whilst remaining focussed on delivery.

You will offer experience in:

  • Leadership and management of engineering teams across several disciplines (.net, iOS/Android, QA, DevOps) ?
  • Challenging and supporting engineers to achieve a high engineering standard and engineering culture ?
  • Championing automated build and deployment with continuous integration ?
  • Agile and Lean principles ?
