£50,127 pro rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)

This is an exciting opportunity for a practitioner to be part of a wider senior management team. With a pupil population of 517 (including pre-school), Papdale is Orkney's largest primary school. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic practitioner to join the existing staff team. All staff in the school show a commitment and desire to continually improve the quality of learning and teaching. Development work is an important part of the school's practice and the successful candidate will be expected to lead aspects of school improvement and will have a line management responsibility for a designated sector within the school. You may also be required to participate in and/or lead whole authority developments.

The successful applicant will need to be GTCS registered and be able to demonstrate that they have, through both experience and professional development, met the criteria in the Standards for Leadership and Management.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.

Salary is based on Point 3 of the Depute Head Teacher/Head Teacher scale of the SNCT Salary Tables plus Distant Islands Allowance. We offer a generous relocation package.
