14 Month Contract
Deployment Controller will support the sales channels in all aspects of availability, stock ordering and stock related communications, and order management, in doing so to ensure the highest levels of availability, while meeting budgets for inventory and obsolescence. Supporting the Supply Chain Managers when called upon.
Drive customer satisfaction through best in class service in terms of availability
Manage Pre order and Back order flows in line with warehouse resource constraints
Compile backorder information to be distributed to the wider business as well as determining stock statuses used across all channels.
Measurement of Channel performance against key enablers, work with specific Channels to support on-going improvements with their ordering and availability needs Senior level liaison on Strategic Channel initiatives
Manage the relationship with Channel representatives to ensure efficient order processing and support the business in terms of allocation of short supply items within the retail estate.re wording needed
Plan pre-kit planning capacity to ensure resources are available for ad-hoc kitting requests/customisations.
Produce and analyse key Channel operational reporting to pick up trends and patterns and mitigate risks.
Deliver stock, stock risk and availability reporting into Sales function at appropriate levels to demonstrate excellence in SC availability, ensuring consultation of SC led decisions on stock deployment decisions.
To ensure that the Deployment team remains operational through the undertaking of any related tasks or activities
Knowledge of the functionality of SAP - Desirable
Previous Retail or Telco experience
Relevant experience involving planning functions.
Knowledge of SC & Sales practises probably gained in FMCG, high tech, retail and/or associated 3PL.
Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Contract management and project management understanding
Financially literate and commercially astute with clear understanding of SC impacts on big picture, and an ability to understand the trade off in costs associated with differing stocking decisions.
Good communications skills.
Understanding of Sales culture and working practices, strong analytical and reporting skills
