Divisional Delivery Support Manager
12-month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £30,365 - £35,312 plus London Weighting allowance of £3,992
Location: London with occasional travel to Cheltenham and Bootle.
It’s the people behind the scenes,
who keep us in front.
This is an 'Office Manager’ role in a surprising and unique context. Fast-moving, and often in the public eye, the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) shapes the regulation of nuclear safety across the entire UK. It’s an enormous responsibility, made possible by the talented teams who work behind the scenes. As our Divisional Delivery Support Manager, you’ll ensure that our administrative capabilities run smoothly - organising tasks, developing people, managing our IT systems, even co-ordinating the logistics of an office move.
As the most senior administrator in the office (and part of the management team across our London, Cheltenham and Bootle sites), you’ll have real autonomy in the daily running of tasks. Proactive and positive, you’ll introduce fresh ideas that will generate a common focus, team spirit and greater efficiencies. A trusted partner, and the main interface between the three sites, you’ll gain a fantastic, strategic overview of how ONR operates. You’ll also build a variety of relationships, whether you’re dealing with inspectors, contractors, facilities managers or IT professionals.
It’s all about collaboration. When you’re trying to encourage better working practices, or introduce new thinking, you’ll need to get everyone on board from admin colleagues to senior inspectors. You’re also someone who takes a real pride in doing a job well, and encourages the same behaviours in others. With relevant experience in the public sector (perhaps also in facilities management), you’re mindful of budgets and know the value of creative problem-solving.
As part of the ONR, you’ll enjoy a generous rewards package. We offer a competitive salary of £30,365 - £35,312 plus London Weighting allowance of £3,992. Furthermore, you’ll be eligible for an extremely generous Civil Service Pension scheme and given five weeks’ annual leave, with an extra day for every year worked (up to a maximum of six weeks).
ONR is a Public Corporation with a Mission to ensure the highest standards of safety and security across all of the UK’s licensed nuclear sites. Our staff are drawn from a wider range of professional backgrounds in order to run a stand-alone business with specialist inspectors to deliver our core business including civil engineering, radiological protection, human factors, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and nuclear physics. And together they’re involved in everything from assessing safety cases, inspecting nuclear sites, communicating our decisions, training new recruits and representing the UK and ONR within the wider International nuclear community.
