Salary: £175-£225 per day

We are seeking a Database Support Analyst with expertise in Oracle and SQL for an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting business systems and driving projects within a dedicated team.

Day-to-day of the role:

Provide hands-on support for Oracle and SQL applications, ensuring the resolution of technical issues.

Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of business systems, focusing on Oracle and SQL.

Utilise scripting in PLSQL/SQL to enhance system functionality.

Offer technical support to the team, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Conduct regular assessments of business systems to identify and implement improvements and optimisations.

Deliver 2nd and 3rd Line technical support to suppliers.

Generate supplier reports using SQL scripts.

Administer ORACLE databases and perform recovery operations as required.

Provide application support to internal team members.

Upgrade production and test environments to support supplier activities.

Install and test application fixes from the development team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in Oracle and SQL databases.

Strong scripting skills in PLSQL/SQL.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Experience in ORACLE Database Administration and Recovery.

Ability to provide effective application support.

Experience in upgrading and maintaining production and test environments.
