This is a fixed term contract opportunity for 24 months.

About the Role
Over the last decade, Surrey County Council has faced unprecedented increases in demand to their services whilst government grants have reduced significantly. We have limited resources and supply to meet the increasing demand and needs. Analytics and data-driven intelligence will be one of the key themes to address financial and operational sustainability.
This role is within the Data Analytics Centre of Excellence part of the Projects and Innovation group of the Orbis IT & Digital service. The Analytics Centre of Excellence is responsible for facilitating, promoting and delivering on the use of Analytics to achieve business objectives across Orbis and SCC.
We are looking to hire a talented Data Engineer to join our expanding Analytics Centre of Excellence.
The Centre of Excellence has driven service transformation through introducing self-service analytics into the authority and this role will be vital in assuring its continued success.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for curating and proactively provisioning datasets to analysts in the services using SSIS, FME and SQL Scripting.
Developing Dashboards and engaging Data Visualisations using Tableau.
Undertaking development, implementation and maintenance of traditional business Intelligence reporting through Business Objects
