Data Analyst, Python, Pandas, Fully Remote, COR5644

Many companies are waking up to the opportunities that their data holds, and are looking to monetise that for their own gain, but this company isn’t one of them!  They’re a leading healthcare-focused charity, carrying out some of the most important patient and staff surveys in the sector, and they’re seeking a Data Analyst with experience of/an interest in using Python for data analysis, keen to build their skills and experience in working with data analysis and reporting.  Full support will be given to progress into a Data Scientist role.

Benefits

Some of the benefits on offer for the Data Analyst include:

  • 25 days holiday, plus an extra 3 for Christmas
  • Life Assurance
  • Flexible working

The Role

The Data Analyst will be joining a small, dedicated Data Science team, who are responsible for providing analysis and reporting across a number of concurrent client projects, whilst also maintaining and developing the code base used in my client’s core in-house applications, further developing their data analysis and reporting capabilities.   The Data Analyst will check, clean and analyse data, as well as building visual reports that provide real insight to clients.  The applications that the Data Analyst will be working with and contributing to, use a range of common software and packages, including Python data libraries (Pandas, NumPy), development tools (Anaconda, Jupyter Notebook), and virtual environments (Conda, venv).  With a head office in Oxford, the position can be office-based, up to full time remote, or a combination of the two – they’re flexible! Candidates must be based within the UK.

What’s Required?

  • Whilst you don’t need a huge amount, my client is looking for some existing commercial experience of having worked as a Data Analyst, or in a data-driven role
  • Experience gained with Python, hopefully in a data context, and ideally with Pandas/NumPy
  • Experience/knowledge of statistical methods and/or experience of using statistical packages for analysing data sets (E.g. Python, R, SPSS, etc.)

What Next?

If you’ve an interest in, and experience of, data analysis and are interested in developing your skills and experience within Data Science in an important, rewarding sector, do please give me a call to learn more, or please apply now!
