sofco is a leading provider of integrated and collaborative End-to-End Planning Software Solutions for the Consumer Goods and Manufacturing sectors.
The sofco suite of application solutions cover planning, intelligence and execution, and support strategic business processes including:

Sales & Operations Planning, Integrated Business Planning, Trade Promotion Management, Supply Planning, Production Planning and Scheduling.

Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an Data Analyst Supply Chain Apprentice. 
Title / position: Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Consultant Apprentice

Salary: 
£18,000 per annum. 

Duties: 

  • You will learn to analyse and implement S&OP processes.
  • You will work alongside Senior consultants with decades of experience and assist with current projects, whilst learning the necessary skills to manage projects of your own in the future.

Project Delivery: 

  • Understanding and documentation of customer requirements and production of solution design documentation.
  • Work with the sofco technical team to identify architecture interfaces and ETL requirements and manage documentation.

Customer Support: 

  • Production of “Statement of Works” against customer requirements
  • Delivery of Statement of works requirements

Presales Support: 

  • Estimation of project days required.
  • Supporting configuration of software demonstrations

R&D Support: 

  • Specification of required functionality
  • Writing Test scripts and Delivering Test scripts

What we are looking for:

  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities are indispensable in this job
  • You should have a strong affinity with IT
  • Be well organised, have excellent people and communication skills and good project management skills are a prerequisite for this apprenticeship

Entry requirements:
Standard entry:

  • Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc)
  • OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role)
    Plus:
  • 5 GCSE's, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above 
  • Experience with using Excel and Microsoft products (or similar)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week: 35hrs a week. 
Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm, 
[1 hr for lunch] 

Benefits: 

  • Pension: 4% Company + current legislation employee contribution of 4% to make total of 8% 
  • Death in Service: 3 x basic after 6 months service 
  • Private Healthcare: (optional) after 6 months service 
  • Holidays: 25 days per annum (3 to be taken between Christmas & New Year due to office closure) plus statutory 

Progression: Your salary will be reviewed at 6 monthly intervals during the first 2 years and then annually thereafter. An Application Consultant with experience can expect a salary level in excess of £30k.   
A Senior Application Consultant with experience can expect a salary level in excess of  £45k per annum.

Future prospects:
90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
