Customs Brokerage Executive

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Brokerage person for well established Freight Forwarder based in the Luton area.

Being a part of the team you will play a critical part in developing a team of specialists who provide customer-tailored global end-to-end supply chain solutions to support the aerospace industry 24/7. Your role will be to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Customs Control Tower (CCT) department across modes, Road, Air & Sea. To follow standard operating procedures in the production of customs documentation and provide timely customs updates ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout. You will be required to keep abreast of new customs control regulations and apply to your daily work

Job Role:-

Dealing with telephone and email queries internal and external

• Processing customs formalities including processing export and import declarations, arranging customs clearance, arranging NCTS T1’s departure and arrivals and duty deferment processing, CFSP etc.
• Perform file checks for adherence to customs regulations and provide training and corrective actions in association to non-compliances in conjunction with your line managers instructions
• Ensuring Job accounting is accurate at all times including the accruing of all costs and Invoicing of jobs at soonest opportunity post operational completion
• To motivate and be motivated in customer service, productivity, and final maximum potential Ebit through continuous improvement.
• Accurate input of order data via various in house and HMRC associated systems for customs declarations for Road/air/ocean freight Imports and Exports
• Assisting colleagues in maintaining effectiveness of Customs data entry in asm/sequoia
• To Participate in training programs and workshops to educate employees in regards practices for maintaining compliance in import and export customs submission activities.
• Your role will require you to be able to utilise the Trade Tariff (Both UK & EU version) to best identify and classify commodities. Additionally, you will be required to understand and navigate across this tariff and where applicable identify, account and also recapture costs applicable to Customs VAT/Duty.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 0900 - 1730
