Hays is recruiting on behalf of a large distribution company based in Shrewsbury for a Customer Services Agent.
Your new role
The primary responsibilities of this role will be responding to telephone and written enquiries from clients and customers. Predominantly this communication will be regarding orders, product selection and advice, prices, product availability and delivery. You'll be entering orders into the SAP system, enter customer data onto internal systems, and act as a liaison between internal teams including Sales and Finance. Alongside this you will ensure that customer credit limits and procedures are followed updating credit information and supporting the Accounts Receivable department with invoicing queries. Some quotation work will also be required.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience must be from a Customer Service based role. You should have a minimum of 2 years in a Customer Service position with high levels of customer contact. Previous experience of order processing is ideal so too is any experience within the construction or manufacturing sector. You should be educated to degree level and have a highly professional and service orientate telephone manner. You should be able to work in a fast paced environment with demanding work loads and be calm under pressure. You need to be highly organised, have good problem solving skills and have meticulous attention to detail. A proficiency in MS office including Excel, Word and SAP is essential.
