Customer Service Advisor

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Customer Service Advisor for their site in Ely. The purpose of the role is to provide customer service support, assistance and technical advice (after training) to the company, its suppliers and its customers with the aim of achieving all round customer satisfaction.

Hours of work are Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm.

Main duties

  • Answering incoming calls from customers and dealing with enquiries and complaints
  • Investigating complaint through to resolution
  • Providing technical advice, after training, where necessary
  • Operational compliance and auditing
  • Creating and maintaining procedures of Quality Manual
  • Being aware of legislation and regulatory requirements (after training)
  • FTIR investigations
  • Understanding of laboratory testing
  • Collating contracted laboratory testing data
  • Supporting environmental waste management
  • Cold room and warehouse temperature monitoring
  • Supporting site audits where required
  • General administration

Skills and experience

  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Experience of customer service and complaint handling
  • Working knowledge of MS Office - with strong Excel skills/knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good standard of education including English and Maths
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude
  • Patient and understanding
  • Excellent organisation skills
