Job Title: Customer Service Assistant - TEMP

Salary: £12.91 per hour

Location: Croydon

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hour week to cover between 8am - 6pm, once trained a Saturday shift will be incorporated - 8am to 4pm

Our client is looking for temporary members of staff to support this busy Retail Team in the daily administration function; compiling information from the retailers regarding the repair of customer vehicles. You will be helping to reduce overall repair times and consequently the hire car spend incurred by dealership and the retailer network.

  • Answer inbound queries from customers and motor dealers relating to vehicle breakdowns
  • Manage a caseload of breakdown assistances on a daily basis, monitoring and managing the retailer’s progress through the repair.
  • Pro-actively manage all assigned breakdown cases in partnership with the retailers, to assist in reducing repair times and managing the vehicle through the workshop.
  • Update internal systems with relevant information and updates.
  • Review and assess inbound requests for car hire authority against department guidelines.
  • Ensure that all email and system based written communications are professional, helpful and productive.
  • Handle calls assertively but diplomatically, resolving issues in a professional manner.

Do you have the required experience?

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a customer focused environment and will possess excellent coordination and communication skills. This role will require a hands-on approach to liaising between customer and retailer and therefore, you should be highly organised, efficient and process driven.

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English Language and Maths
  • Previous experience of working within a call centre or administrative environment
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • High data entry speed and accuracy
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Positive approach to work with ability to think laterally and adapt to changes in a role and duties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to manage own workload
  • Ability to create and maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients
