Due to continued business growth, our client is looking to expand their Travel Claims Team and are looking for 8x Customer Claims Specialist’s to support business customers with their travel claims queries.

This role is working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. Hybrid working offered with the office based in central Croydon. Full remote working maybe an option for someone who has extensive experience of Travel Claims.

Salary: Offering a basic salary of £24,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience) plus performance bonus of £1500 (per annum)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Shifts covering 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday. You will be required to work 1 in 5 Saturdays with a day off in the week if worked.

On a daily basis, you will support customers who call in for assistance regarding their policy, providing accurate information in response to their enquiry. You will respond to enquiries relating to existing claims, and update systems with all conversations and documents received. You will handle customer escalations positively, ensuring that any unresolved issues are highlighted to your manager.

  • Handle first notification of loss (FNOL) calls, enter all relevant claims information and dispatch claims forms as appropriate
  • Manage & respond to department email enquiries
  • Communicate with customers and third parties by telephone/email/letter in a clear, concise and professional way
  • Assess new claims (Travel/Missed Event/Collision Damage Waiver excess) in accordance with policy terms and conditions, within specified service levels and in line with departmental procedures
  • Handle any necessary administrative duties relating to claims, e.g. completion of worksheets
  • Ensure that all relevant data is collated and entered onto the system in a timely manner, with a focus on accurate data entry and regular data cleansing
  • Handle customer escalations in a positive way and refer any unresolved quality issues to your line manager

Do you have the expected skills & experience?

  • You must have a minimum of 1 years Insurance Claims experience
  • Experience working in a customer focussed environment
  • Experience of handling customer queries and providing accurate responses
  • Knowledge of the travel industry or travel insurance would be advantageous
  • You must be able to effectively manage multiple cases
