Due to growth my client, a leading blue chip Insurer, currently seek a number of Critical Illness Claims specialists to join their friendly and growing team. Duties will include:

  • Gathering a range of evidence in order to ensure the validity of claims - this may include sensitive medical information which may be complex
  • Using logical reasoning to come to fair and reasonable decisions regarding claims outcomes
  • Using your technical expertise to identify cases where fraud may be involved or where litigation may occur
  • Communicating with a range of customers, both internal and external, ensuring that service expectations are met and a consistently high level of service is provided.
  • Assessing appeals and handling complaints, identifying the route cause of the issue and dealing with it effectively
  • Providing input into department projects and process and procedural improvements
  • Applying TCF principles to all customer interactions

Applicants must possess Critical Illness claims experience along with good medical knowledge regarding factors affecting such claims. Prior experience of the full claims process and the ability to deal with sensitive and sometimes contentious claims along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
