Locum Criminal Litigation Lawyer – London – Competitive Salary (DOE) – Hybrid Working Pattern

Position: Locum Criminal Litigation Lawyer

Organisation: London Based Local Authority

Duration: 3 months Ongoing Contract

Working Pattern: Full Time

Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working – Office (1 day per week) and Court Attendance Required

Hourly Rate: Competitive (DOE)

Venn Group’s specialist public sector legal team are in partnership with a dynamic and forward thinking Local Authority based in London to assist in their search for a Locum Criminal Litigation Lawyer.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Criminal Litigation Lawyer to work as part of a collaborative and supportive legal team within Local Government and take charge of some interesting criminal litigation work. The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FILEx with at least 3 years PQE

Duties Shall Include:

1. To provide legal advice and management of legal matters on behalf of clients which include local authorities, housing associations, and schools
2. Conduct legal research and provide advice and support for all criminal litigation matters
3. Provide representation in criminal litigation matters with a focus on social housing fraud and regulatory prosecutions
4. Manage and oversee all aspects of legal files and cases, ensuring effective representation and compliance with legal requirements

The role of Locum Criminal Litigation Lawyer comes with a competitive hourly rate that is dependent upon experience and presents the opportunity to hone in certain aspects of criminal litigation in order to develop legal acumen. Local Government experience is desirable for this role but candidates with extensive non Local Government experience are welcome to apply for this role.
