GRG are partnering exclusively with management consulting organisation, who are seeking an experienced Credit Underwriter to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and evaluating credit applications, ensuring that they meet the company's lending criteria and policies.
In this standalone, permanent position, you will report to their Funding Manager & work across either Staffordshire or Birmingham offices, on a hybrid basis (3 days in office per week).
Key Responsibilities:- Assessing and evaluating credit applications
- Ensuring that credit applications meet the company's lending criteria and policies
- Providing recommendations on credit applications
- Conducting credit checks and financial analysis
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contributing to the development of credit policies and procedures
- Significant experience in credit underwriting/AML and KYC analytical background
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements
- Experience in the financial services industry, in an FCA regulated environment
